Depute Team Leader

Introducing David Tyson

Our Depute Team Leader is a 3 year elected position in the team, generally regarded as a preparatory period for future leadership of the team.  He/she works very closely with the Chairperson and Team Leader as well as other committee members to ensure the management of the team is organised and professional. The role is very similar to the function of the Team Leader, acting naturally as the depute in his or her absence.  Our current Acting Depute Team Leader is David Tyson, the Head Teacher at Castle Douglas Primary School and a resident of the town.  David is a keen cyclist and was a member of the team of three who completed the 1,100 mile SWNE Charity Cycle in 2013 to raise funds for the team and the charity Clic Sargent. David is also our Assistant Secretary.
