Emergency Incidents

Since the team formed in 1976 we have been mobilised to hundreds of emergency incidents across South West Scotland

Most of these have been searching for missing persons, both in the Galloway Hills and on low lying areas, but have also included responding to medical emergencies, floods and other severe weather conditions.  Including:

  • Aircraft Crashes
  • Assisting the Scottish Ambulance Service
  • Assisting the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service
  • Assisting HM Coastguard on coastal terrain
  • Flooding
  • Adverse Weather
  • Medical Evacuations
  • Mountain Bike Accidents
  • Missing People in the Rural and Urban setting
  • Lost Walkers in the Mountains
  • Climbing Accidents
  • Community Resiliance Response
